SUMMARY:Promoting Resilience\, Positive Mental\, Social & Physical Health – Advanced
DESCRIPTION:Participants must have a good working knowledge of the PACE model. \nThis course shows how Resilience is linked to recovery from trauma and how adults can help children and young people to develop Resilience. \nBuilding resilience is the ability to adapt well to adversity\, trauma\, tragedy\, threats or even significant sources of stress. Emotional pain and sadness are common when we have suffered a significant trauma or personal loss or even when we hear of someone else’s loss or trauma. \nLooked-after children and young people should expect the same opportunities as other children and young people\, including being healthy and safe. In addition\, they should be provided with the options needed to help them move successfully to adulthood. The needs of looked-after children and young people vary but are often complex and can be met only by a range of services operating collaboratively across different settings.
